COPION

A clipboard history for the Mac that never leaves the machine. Everything you copy, one hotkey away.

A menu-bar app in Swift that remembers text, links, files and images, with fuzzy search, the icon of the app each item came from and optional local AI through Ollama.

The top of a laptop screen with a dark floating panel under the menu bar, listing clipboard items with an icon and a coloured dot each

What it is

A private clipboard manager. It lives in the menu bar, remembers everything you copy and lets you paste any past item back. ⇧⌘Ñ opens it from anywhere.

The history is a plain file that only you can read. Inspired by Maccy, rewritten from scratch in Swift.

How it works

It captures text, links, files, folders and images, each with a coloured category badge and the icon of the app it came from. Anything a password manager marks as concealed is never written to disk.

Search ignores case and accents, so "produccion" finds "producción". With a local embedding model it can also search by meaning. And with Ollama running, any text can be summarised, translated, explained or rewritten without leaving the Mac.
